Job Description

Unity Search has been engaged with a public accounting firm here in Dallas looking to hire an Audit Manager. Loads of selling points and this is a firm we have made past placements with, so we have good intel!!

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multiple concurrent audit engagements (typically around 6) for clients in the private equity, hedge fund, asset management, and mutual fund sectors.
Serve as the primary audit “closer,” responsible for finalizing audits, clearing open items, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality reports.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of staff and senior auditors, providing guidance to ensure efficient execution of audit procedures.
Maintain strong client relationships by serving as the day-to-day contact during the audit wrap-up phase and addressing complex accounting and audit issues.
Coordinate with partners to align engagement execution with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify process improvements within the audit cycle to enhance efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction.
Thrive in a fully remote work environment with clear communication, self-management, and a proactive approach to engagement deadlines and team collaboration.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
CPA strongly preferred
4+ years of audit experience
Experience with PE funds, hedge funds, or investment related clients required
Broker dealer experience strongly preferred
Critical thinker who is good with technology and at creating process efficiencies
