The company has been around for about 50 years, but has more of a “start-up” feel as they are entering a new growth phase and plan to double their revenue in the next 5 years. This person will serve as a critical resource to bring in new technology, streamline processes, and coach accounting personnel as they company grows. Compensation for this role will go up to 100k base.

Job Description
Unity Search has partnered with a quickly growing, Carrolton based company that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their team. This position is newly created due to growth! The company has been around for about 50 years, but has more of a “start-up” feel as they are entering a new growth phase and plan to double their revenue in the next 5 years. This person will serve as a critical resource to bring in new technology, streamline processes, and coach accounting personnel as they company grows. Compensation for this role will go up to 100k base.
Some responsibilities are:
- Own the majority of the month-end close procedures, including reconciliations, journal entries, and cash forecasting
- Preparation & analysis of financial statements
- Continuous process improvement in data tools, process & procedure streamlining, and scaling up the accounting dept.
- System implementation & automation
- External audit support, supporting AP & AR accountants, ad-hoc reporting
Some requirements are:
- Bachelor of Accounting or Finance required
- 3-7 years of accounting experience
- Experience creating process efficiencies in a growing company required
- Experience mentoring/training team members strongly preferred
- Experience in the insurance industry preferred
- Strong communication – Able to articulate on the spot to the CFO the financial picture of the company
- System savvy & strong with excel
