Job Description
Unity Search has partnered with a family investment office located in Fort Worth that is looking to add a Senior Fund Accountant to their team. This opportunity offers hybrid (3 in/2 out) schedules, catered lunches while if office, great benefits including a 5% 401k match, strong growth potential, and the ability to get a tremendous amount of exposure to different investment types and vehicles. Compensation for this opportunity will go up to 105k + 15-20% target bonus.
Some responsibilities are:
- Day-to-day accounting & reporting functions for a number of PE and hedge funds as well as several investment management companies
- Prepare various reports or analyses in support of management, the family or the investment team
- Record investment valuations, asset acquisitions and dispositions
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Complete the monthly close procedures and generate deliverables in compliance with GAAP or tax basis
- Liaison with tax advisors, compliance officers, and external fund advisors
- Assist with Ad-hoc reporting or special projects as necessary
Some requirements are:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance Required
- 2.5-5 years of fund accounting related experience in real estate, private equity, hedge funds, or alternative investments
- Public accounting foundation strongly preferred
- Intellectually curious – someone who digs into information and understands the “why” behind what is going on
