Unity Search is partnering with a fast-growing retail client in North Dallas to find a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-volume receivables, reconciling accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Experience in a multi-unit or franchise environment is strongly preferred. This role will ensure timely and accurate processing of customer payments while supporting the company’s cash flow and financial health. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment posting, account reconciliation, and collections. 
• Monitor customer accounts to identify overdue balances and proactively follow up to resolve outstanding issues. 
• Prepare and distribute accurate and timely invoices, statements, and aging reports. 
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, and accounting) to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure customer satisfaction. 
• Maintain organized records of all receivable transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. 
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring AR-related entries are complete and accurate. 
• Analyze AR data and provide regular updates on collection status and key metrics to management. 
• Support audits by providing documentation and account details as requested. 
• Continuously evaluate and improve AR processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 

Qualifications 

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounts receivable or accounting experience. 
• Multi-unit or franchise industry experience preferred. 
• Strong understanding of GAAP and AR best practices. 
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel. 
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach. 
• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
