Job Description

UNITY has partnered with a privately held company in the early stages of growth to find an experienced Accounting Consultant for a three-month contract. This role is supporting accounting operations, including month-end close and financial reporting.  A strong background in cash-based accounting and early-stage financial reporting are key to success.  This role is on-site in the Southeast area of Austin. 

Responsibilities:
  • Own and execute the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, fixed asset management and financial statement preparation. 
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and other financial projections. 
  • Develop and maintain ad-hoc financial reports to support leadership decision-making. 
  • Support special projects and evolving business needs as they arise. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting with a minimum of 7 years' experience. 
  • Strong background in startups or early-stage privately held companies.
  • Experience working in a cash-based accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong Excel skills highly preferred. 
  • CPA strongly preferred.
