We’re partnering with a close client in the real estate industry who is looking for an Interim Property Accounting Controller ASAP to join their team! This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves with day-to-day accounting while also stepping into higher-level responsibilities. The duration of the assignment would be approximately 2 months, with the possibility of extension, depending. The company is well-known for their beautiful offices in downtown Dallas and collaborative environment, making this a great short-term project for the right candidate. Responsibilities:

• Oversee property accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting

• Manage daily accounting functions including reconciliations and month-end close

• Provide controller-level oversight while also supporting tactical accounting tasks

• Assist with special projects and higher-level needs as they arise

• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to address accounting issues

Requirements:

• Real estate accounting experience (required)

• Experience with real estate ERP systems (required)

• Controller or manager-level background with ability to pivot between strategy and hands-on work

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and property-level accounting processes

• Ability to quickly adapt and make an impact in a contract setting
