A national consumer-facing organization in the retail and food services space is seeking an Operational Accounting & Inventory Transformation Consultant for a 3–4 month contract project, with potential for extension. This role will focus on optimizing inventory management and cost accounting processes across a high-volume, multi-unit food and merchandise operation. The consultant will play a hands-on role in stabilizing ERP workflows post-Dynamics 365 implementation and building Power BI dashboards to enhance visibility into COGS, inventory accuracy, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in operational accounting within a food, beverage, or retail environment, with a strong understanding of recipe-level costing, inventory reconciliation, and cross-functional collaboration. This individual contributor role will report directly to the VP of Finance Transformation and partner closely with procurement, merchandising, and operations teams to build scalable processes and SOPs. Strong systems experience—particularly with Dynamics 365, Power BI, and Excel—is preferred. Hybrid work expected out of the client’s Addison-area office.
