HR Generalist

Job Description
Unity Search is partnering with an established professional services client in Uptown Dallas to find a detail-oriented and versatile HR Generalist with a strong background in payroll administration to join their Human Resources team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has experience supporting a professional services workforce. The HR Generalist will manage day-to-day HR operations while ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and oversee end-to-end payroll for multi-state employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and coordinate with finance and external vendors as needed.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee records management.
- Administer HR policies and procedures and ensure consistent application across the organization.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Contribute to performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and produce routine and ad hoc reports.
- Participate in compliance activities, including audits, reporting, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment laws.
- Provide support in talent acquisition efforts, including coordinating interviews and facilitating candidate communications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support special projects and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience, with demonstrated payroll processing experience.
- Prior experience in the professional services industry is required.
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now payroll or related systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG) and HRIS platforms.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and payroll regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Experience with multi-state or global payroll.
