Instructional Designer

Job Description
Unity search is partnering with a leading private equity client in Irving, TX in a search for a skilled Instructional Designer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional environment to design, develop, and implement high-impact learning solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to create engaging and effective training content that supports organizational goals and improves employee performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop instructional materials for a variety of delivery formats, including e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), blended learning, and performance support tools.
- Conduct needs assessments, gap analyses, and audience analysis to determine appropriate learning solutions.
- Work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to translate complex content into clear, learner-focused experiences.
- Develop course outlines, learning objectives, storyboards, scripts, and assessment tools.
- Create interactive and visually appealing e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, or similar platforms.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through data analysis, learner feedback, and performance metrics.
- Stay current with best practices in instructional design, adult learning theory, learning technologies, and industry trends.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in instructional design or a related role.
- Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and training evaluation methods.
- Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), preferably Cornerstone, Workday, or similar.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in corporate learning environments, especially in industries such as healthcare, finance, or technology.
- Familiarity with accessibility and compliance standards (e.g., WCAG, Section 508).
- Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
