Are you a skilled project accountant with a strong focus on job costing?
If you're an expert in handling job costing and AP-intensive tasks and are looking for an opportunity to support project managers while making a real impact, this role is for you! Our client, a fast-rising player in the construction industry, is seeking an Interim Senior Project Accountant to provide key support in job and contract analysis, WIP accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting/forecasting. With a focus on professional growth in construction accounting, this position offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform AP-intensive tasks with an emphasis on job costing.
- Track and allocate project costs, monitor progress, and ensure accurate financial reporting for ongoing projects (Work in Progress accounting).
- Assist project managers by analyzing jobs and contracts to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports to various stakeholders.
- Support and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement financial strategies.
Requirements:
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s in accounting preferred; Associate degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in job costing and AP.
- Skills: Project accounting experience with job costing and AP functional experience, with an eagerness to learn new processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Software: QuickBooks proficiency desired.
Interview Process:
In-person interview with Controller; the final hiring decision involves a final interview and input from business partners.
