Job Description

If you are a strong GL accountant who wants more than just a checklist to complete each month, this could be a great fit. A growing Dallas based company is looking for a contract to hire senior accountant who is not just solid on the numbers but also brings curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in making things better. You will be joining a collaborative team with strong leadership that values your input and encourages ideas, not just execution. This is a contract to hire position with long term potential, though conversion will depend on mutual fit and performance during the contract period. The team is in office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy

  • Complete monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules

  • Assist with consolidation of financial data across multiple entities

  • Support internal reporting and variance analysis

  • Provide audit support and documentation as needed

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounting team

  • Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience

  • Strong foundation in general ledger and month end close work

  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Strong ERP experience required 

  • Strong communication and problem solving abilities

  • Detail oriented, dependable, and proactive

Software: Some ERP software experience/system savviness is required. Client is on Great Plains (nice to have but not required)/Adaptive Planning.

Interview Process: 
For contract to hire candidates, the interview process will likely consist of one Teams video interview with the hiring manager and a team member.
