This company is one that people almost never leave – 40-hour work-weeks, an old style pension fund (which is almost extinct in the corporate world today) along with a strong 401k match, hybrid schedules (3 in/2 out), beautiful offices, and an incredible and collaborative culture.

Job Description
Unity Search has partnered with one of the most reputable Investment companies in Fort Worth which is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. This company is one that people almost never leave – 40-hour work-weeks, an old style pension fund (which is almost extinct in the corporate world today) along with a strong 401k match, hybrid schedules (3 in/2 out), beautiful offices, and an incredible and collaborative culture.
Here are some of the responsibilities:
- General accounting for multiple PE and hedge fund investments (mostly in partnership structure)
- Support month-end and quarter-end close for investments, including:
- Month-end journal entries, accounting for capital added to or taken out of investments, bank & balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
- Prepare & analysis of financial reports
- Provide support for quarterly financial statement prep
- Quarter-end valuation support of quarterly reports
- Ad-hoc reporting as needed
Some of the requirements are:
- Bachelor of Business strongly preferred (accounting or finance is ideal)
- 1+ year of accounting experience required
- If more experience, no more than 2 jobs in 5 years
- Experience in a Family Office or fund accounting is preferred but not required
- Experience posting journal entries and performing reconciliations is required
- Strong experience with excel required
- Detail oriented – Someone who can take notes & refer to them later
