Job Description

The core of the position is to drive a data-driven approach to financial operations, partnering with executive leadership to translate data into actionable insights that fuel smart investments and portfolio growth for this Austin PE/Investment firm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions for the firm, including private equity funds, service-oriented portfolio companies, and internal/management operations.
- Partner with the C-suite team and data science team to develop financial models and analytics to support investment decisions and portfolio company growth.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting systems and technologies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team, ensuring adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Prepare and manage the firm's financial statements, reports, and tax filings.
- Fund Accounting Expertise: Solid foundation in fund accounting principles, ideally with a public accounting foundation background.
- Data Analytics Passion: Genuine enthusiasm about leveraging data for financial decision-making and driving performance.
- Tech-Forward Mindset: Experience streamlining processes with automation and a keen eye for evaluating and implementing emerging accounting technologies.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to develop and lead high-performing accounting teams.
- Relevant Education & Credentials: Advanced degree strongly preferred. CPA or CFA is a significant advantage.
