Unity Search is partnering with a fast-growing, global technology company to hire a Payroll Director who will oversee all aspects of domestic and international payroll operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving continuous improvement and scalability within a dynamic, high-growth organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage bi-weekly and international payroll cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and global compliance.

• Partner with Finance and Accounting on general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and payroll accounting.

• Lead process improvements, automation efforts, and payroll system implementations/integrations.

• Provide responsive employee support and ensure adherence to all payroll laws and internal policies.

• Stay current on regulatory changes and adjust processes accordingly.

• Oversee equity-related payroll transactions and multi-jurisdictional tax compliance.

• Serve as the payroll subject matter expert during audits and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive payroll experience across multiple regions and tax jurisdictions.

• Proven leadership experience managing payroll teams.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. and international payroll regulations.

• Hands-on experience with major payroll systems (implementation preferred).

• Strong analytical skills, high accuracy, and experience with complex reconciliations and reporting.

• Solid understanding of tax compliance, employment laws, and stock compensation.
