Position Overview:

Our client seeks an Interim Tax Contractor (State & Federal) to join their team. This role is critical as they navigate complex regulatory landscapes and strive for compliance excellence. With a flexible hybrid work schedule and the potential for the contract to extend into 2025, this is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of Tax Compliance in overseeing an outsourced compliance engagement, ensuring the completion of all domestic compliance tasks.
- Collect and organize documentation, prior year workpapers, and review data for accuracy and completeness for outsourced providers.
- Conduct initial reviews of workpapers, calculations, and tax forms prepared by the compliance provider.
- Aid the Compliance Director with special projects, including US method reviews and tax basis calculations.
- Facilitate the preparation and analysis of compliance-related reports to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Extensive experience in state and federal regulatory tax, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage complex tax projects and provide strategic tax planning.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a flexible, potentially remote / preferred hybrid work environment and manage multiple priorities.
