We’re partnering with a growing organization that needs an experienced Senior Staff Accountant on a contract basis to step in and make an immediate impact. This is a hands-on role that will provide critical support during a time of transition, offering high visibility to leadership and the opportunity to navigate a dynamic environment. The position is expected to last 3 to 4 months (with potential flexibility) and includes the chance to work alongside a collaborative team. Responsibilities

• Support accounting operations during a period of transition, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all work

• Assist with general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities

• Perform VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and Excel reporting

• Partner with leadership on reporting, analysis, and process improvements

• Provide royalty calculations support (a plus, not required)

• Assist with an upcoming system transition (prior system migration experience is a plus, but not required)

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs during role transitions

• Adapt quickly to evolving processes and organizational changes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a staff/senior-level role

• Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables required)

• Retail industry experience is a plus

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Additional Details

• Reporting initially to the CFO, transitioning to the new Controller once onboarded

• Work-from-home every Thursday
