Controller – Central Dallas | $150K - $200K + Bonus

Unity Search has partnered with a premier real estate developer seeking a Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations. This is a high-impact role offering direct visibility to the CFO and executive leadership, exposure to award-winning master-planned and multifamily projects, and the chance to make a lasting impact on a respected, growing company. - Lead accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, consolidations, and treasury
- Oversee preparation of GAAP financial statements across multiple entities
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and project funding
- Provide financial insights to support project performance and strategic decision-making
- Implement and strengthen internal controls, policies, and processes
- Partner with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders
- Mentor, train, and lead accounting staff to build a high-performing team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 3+ years in leadership
- Background in real estate, land development, construction, or multifamily required
- Strong GAAP knowledge, consolidations, and joint venture/partnership reporting
- Experience managing budgets, forecasting, cash flow, and investor reporting
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Sage Intacct a plus)
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
