UNITY is partnering with a global energy company in North Houston that is seeking to add an Accounting Manager to their growing team. The ideal candidate will hold a CPA and have a background in Big 4. This role offers a dynamic environment, strong leadership exposure, and excellent opportunities for long-term career growth.

- Plan, organize, and lead accounting staff in general ledger operations, sub-systems, and financial applications.
- Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of financial statements and related reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, implementing improvements and maintaining compliance.
- Execute internal control self-assessments and lead ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to provide insights on financial performance and strategy execution.
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
- Manage recruitment, training, and professional development of accounting team members.
- Apply and enforce accounting principles, policies, and internal controls to business transactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required.
- Background in Big 4 public accounting (PwC, EY, KPMG, or Deloitte) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including team supervision.
- Experience with financial systems such as SAP and Hyperion strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial performance metrics such as CVA and NOVA.
- Proficient in statutory reporting, internal controls, forecasting, and performance management.
