Job Description
Senior Accountant – Oil & Gas
Unity is seeking a results-driven Senior Marketing Accountant for a publicly traded, oil & gas client located in downtown Houston. This role will lead Marketing Accounting processes, ensure accurate reporting, drive process improvements, and support system integration and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong oil & gas accounting experience, analytical skills, and a passion for technology-driven efficiency. This role offers a hybrid work schedule along with an excellent compensation and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

Oversee Marketing Accounting, including accurate recording of actuals and accruals

Partner with production, marketing, regulatory, and division order teams

Maintain strong internal controls, reconciliations, and reporting integrity

Drive automation, process improvement, and systems integration

Support M&A reporting integration and data migration

Develop dashboards and ad-hoc reporting using Power BI and similar tools
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance
-
5+ years of oil & gas accounting experience
-
Experience with Enertia, TIPS, or similar ERP systems
-
Proficiency in Power BI, Spotfire, Excel; SQL a plus

Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
