UNITY is looking for a sharp, detail-driven finance professional for a Houston based client to lead their external reporting function. This is a high-impact role with visibility across senior leadership, offering the opportunity to shape SEC reporting processes and ensure regulatory excellence in a dynamic, public company environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various internal stakeholders and external parties supporting the external reporting function to fulfill responsibilities and meet reporting deadlines.
• Compile and analyze data for quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K) and assist with detailed reviews of these filings.
• Prepare the Company’s quarterly Earnings Release (8-K) and Earnings Call Script, including supporting documentation and workpapers.
• Conduct research and resolve complex accounting issues; prepare supporting analyses and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Liaise with various departments and business units to resolve financial and reporting-related issues.
• Develop, update, and review supporting schedules for financial statements and disclosures.
• Prepare disclosure checklists in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable standards, including MD&A.
• Contribute to the preparation of XBRL tagging for SEC filings.
• Support the review of proxy statements and other external communications such as investor presentations and press releases.
• Coordinate and respond to audit requests from internal and external auditors.
• Participate in special projects, ad hoc analyses, and initiatives to enhance reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• CPA license required.
• Experience preparing SEC filings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
• Ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines, especially during reporting cycles.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed during peak periods.
