Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for a hands-on role with variety and long-term potential? A close client of ours in North Dallas is adding a GL Accountant to support a growing, multi-location retail organization. This hybrid position offers three days in-office and two remote, with exposure to core accounting functions across multiple locations. With ongoing acquisitions, the team is prioritizing a contract-to-hire structure to maintain flexibility as the organization continues to grow. The ideal start timeframe is by mid-February.

Responsibilities
• Perform daily and monthly cash and bank reconciliations
• Support inventory accounting across multiple retail locations
• Track, reconcile, and maintain prepaid expenses
• Assist with vendor payments and related accounting activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Support month-end close processes
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Collaborate with the accounting supervisor and accounting team

Required Qualifications
• 3 or more years of general accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Retail or multi-location accounting experience preferred
• Inventory accounting experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
• SAP experience a plus, not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment

Interview Process
The interview process includes Teams interviews, potentially one round with the Divisional Controller and Accounting Supervisor, along with another member of the team. A standard background check is required prior to start.
