As the company continues to expand geographically, they are investing in strong payroll leadership to support scalable operations and future growth.
Position Summary
Seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll for ~500 multi-state employees in a small, in-house environment. This role leads daily processing, ensures compliance, supports a UKG Pro implementation, and provides payroll insights to HR and leadership while bringing structure as operations scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end, multi-state payroll for ~500 employees
- Lead UKG Pro implementation and ongoing payroll operations
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and full federal/state compliance (tax filings, registrations)
- Deliver payroll analytics and reporting to support bonuses, merit, and workforce planning
- Establish scalable processes, SOPs, and serve as a trusted partner to HR/leadership
- 5+ years in-house payroll experience with full ownership of the function
- Proven multi-state payroll and state tax compliance expertise
- Experience with modern payroll systems; implementation/UKG preferred
- Strong Excel and analytical skills with ability to present payroll insights clearly
- Self-starter comfortable working independently in a small, hands-on environment
