Incentive Compensation Manager
Job Description
Unity Search is partnering with a fast-growing Software Services client in Southlake to find a Sales Incentive Manager who will be responsible for the strategy, design, administration, and analysis of sales incentive compensation programs. This role partners with Sales Leadership, Finance, HR, and Operations to ensure incentive plans are competitive, aligned with business objectives, and drive high performance while maintaining compliance and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Incentive Plan Design & Strategy
- Develop, design, and implement sales incentive compensation plans that align with business strategy, sales objectives, and market competitiveness.
- Model and forecast financial impact of proposed plan designs to ensure alignment with budget and sales targets.
- Benchmark compensation practices against industry standards.
Administration & Operations
- Manage end-to-end administration of incentive programs, including eligibility, quotas, territory assignments, and plan documentation.
- Ensure accurate calculation and timely distribution of incentive payments.
- Partner with IT and reporting teams to improve tools and automation for plan administration.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze incentive program effectiveness, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Deliver regular reporting and insights to Sales Leadership, Finance, and HR on performance against targets.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making and resolve disputes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations to align incentive plans with organizational objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on compensation strategy and sales performance trends.
- Lead communication and training for sales teams to ensure clear understanding of incentive programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s a plus).
- 6+ years of experience in sales compensation, incentive management, or sales operations.
- Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting skills (Excel, Anaplan, Xactly, Callidus, or similar).
- Familiarity with CRM and sales reporting tools (Salesforce, Qlik, Power BI, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
