Indirect Tax Director
Job Description
Our client, a $2 Billion + publicly traded company, is looking to bring on a tax consultant to lead their indirect tax function while they work to identify a permanent hire. The team is looking for a tax professional who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
This is a remote project, expected to be at least 3 months in duration.

Responsibilities
- Lead the indirect tax function, overseeing sales and use tax and property tax compliance, planning, and audit defense activities.
- Provide strategic guidance on indirect tax matters impacting multiple business lines.
- Review, analyze, and draft tax language for customer contracts, master service agreements, procurement contracts, and service agreements.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess potential impacts on business operations and project economics.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes related to state and local indirect tax matters.
- Strong sales and use tax experience required
- Experience reviewing contracts required
- Experience in the construction industry required
- Strong preference for a candidate with public accounting experience
- JD preferred
