Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our Plano client on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with either property accounting expertise or a strong general ledger background who enjoys owning the close process, digging into reconciliations, and making an immediate impact. The team is collaborative, the work is engaging, and you’ll have the flexibility of working onsite Monday–Thursday with Fridays remote. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations

  • Manage general ledger accuracy and prepare supporting schedules for reporting

  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and account analysis

  • Handle fixed asset accounting, accruals, and intercompany transactions

  • Support preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages

  • For candidates with property accounting experience: perform CAM reconciliations, tenant reconciliations, and property-level financial reporting

  • Partner with internal teams to identify process improvements and drive efficiencies

  • Assist with audit requests and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

  • 5+ years of accounting experience (property accounting or general ledger focus)

  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and internal controls

  • Proficiency with accounting software 

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)

  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
