Now Hiring: Senior Accountant | Houston (Galleria Area) | Oil & Gas Trading
Are you an experienced accountant looking to join a stable, growing company where your work will have a direct impact on the business?
Our client, an established Houston-based oil & gas trading company with more than a decade of success, is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll play a key role in the company's accounting operations while gaining exposure to a dynamic commodities trading environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Prepare accurate financial reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
- Assist with trading settlements and inventory reconciliations
- Partner with leadership to improve reporting and financial performance
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Oil & gas, commodities, or energy industry experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
