About the Project
Unity is searching for a Senior Tax Consultant for a 6–9-month contract assignment with an energy client based in The Woodlands, TX. The ideal candidate/ consultant should have extensive experience analyzing the U.S. and international tax implications on new business opportunities and strategic initiatives. Skilled in evaluating complex transactions, building detailed financial models to assess tax impacts, and providing clear, actionable recommendations to both operational leadership and executive management.
Additionally, a strong background in coordinating with outside tax advisors to address non-U.S. tax considerations, ensuring full alignment across jurisdictions. Experienced in reviewing and amending the tax aspects of operational contracts and applying transfer pricing principles within U.S. multinational structures. Partner effectively with Legal and external advisors to draft intercompany agreements and support global transfer pricing documentation requirements. Adept at preparing technical memoranda and capable of managing multiple high-priority projects in fast-paced environments while meeting all internal and external deadlines. Exercising sound professional judgment, working independently with minimal supervision, and maintaining open communication on key decisions.
Requirements/ Responsibilities
- 5+ years of international M&A tax experience
- Strong understanding of transfer pricing principles to US multinational companies
- Financial modeling of tax implications of new business opportunities.
- Experience reviewing new business opportunities while providing critical analysis of relevant tax implications.
- Ability to coordinate with outside tax advisors to understand non-US tax implications.
- Effective written and verbal communication to operational and executive management
- Review, comment, and amend tax aspects of operational contracts
