Job Description

Unity Search has partnered with a North Dallas public company looking to add a Tax Manager to their team.  The Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of tax compliance, reporting, and planning for a publicly traded company, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners with internal teams and external advisors to manage tax obligations, optimize strategies, and support financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review corporate federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Manage ASC 740 tax provisions and disclosures for SEC reporting.
  • Develop and execute tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
  • Lead and support audits, working with external auditors and regulators.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations on transactions and initiatives.
  • Streamline processes and implement best practices.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff.

Qualifications
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of tax experience (2+ in management); public company or Big 4 background preferred.
  • Expertise in U.S. tax law, ASC 740, and SEC reporting; proficiency with OneSource and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
