Senior Audit Analyst
Job Description
UNITY, on behalf of a growing organization, we are seeking a contract-to-hire Senior Audit Analyst to manage multi-state sales and use tax audits across all 50 states and U.S. territories.
This role will serve as the primary liaison with taxing authorities, support audit defense strategy, and leverage Avalara to extract and validate transactional data. The ideal candidate brings strong multi-state indirect tax experience, audit defense exposure, and a process-improvement mindset.Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–8+ years of multi-state sales and use tax compliance and audit experience in all 50 states and US territories
- Hands-on experience with Avalara tax automation tools
- Strong understanding of indirect tax regulations across U.S. jurisdictions, including territories
- Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
